Who we are

Multi-Tool Workspace (https://usetools.app) is operated by Andreas Krivas (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@usetools.app.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data we process when you use Multi-Tool Workspace, why we process it, and your choices. We are the “data controller.”

What data we (generally) do not collect

• Tool inputs & outputs: Our utilities run in your browser by design. We do not intentionally transmit your pasted or typed content to our servers.
• Accounts: We do not offer logins or user accounts.

Data we may process

• Basic technical data (IP address, user-agent, request metadata) processed by our hosting provider when your browser requests pages or static assets.
• Anonymous usage metrics via Vercel Analytics (cookieless, aggregated).
• Advertising signals required to load Google AdSense. In the EEA, we request non-personalized ads (NPA). Outside the EEA, ads are intended to be contextual; Google may still receive technical signals to render ads.
• Contact data if you email us (your email address and message).

Purposes & legal bases (GDPR)

• Provide the service (serve pages, prevent abuse): Legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Measure anonymous usage (improve features, capacity planning): Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Serve ads (sustain free access): Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)). In the EEA we request NPA to avoid personalized profiling.
• Reply to inquiries (when you email us): Legitimate interests or contract depending on context.
• Legal compliance (security, fraud, lawful requests): Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

Cookies

We aim to be cookie-light: our tools themselves don’t set tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics is cookieless. Google AdSense may set cookies in some regions to deliver or limit ads; we request non-personalized ads in the EEA.

Processors & recipients

• Hosting: Vercel (serving static pages/assets, basic logs).
• Analytics: Vercel Analytics (aggregated, cookieless).
• Advertising: Google AdSense (ad delivery; NPA in the EEA).
• Email: Your email provider (when you contact us).

International transfers

Our providers may process data in the EU and/or outside the EU (e.g., the United States). Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses implemented by those providers.

Retention

• Server logs: short-term operational retention (typically days to a few weeks), unless needed to investigate abuse/security.
• Analytics: aggregated, non-identifying metrics.
• Emails you send us: retained as long as necessary to handle your inquiry.

Your rights (EEA/UK)

Subject to conditions and exemptions, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to processing, and data portability. To exercise any right, email support@usetools.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (for Netherlands, the data protection authority).

Security

We use HTTPS and reputable infrastructure. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect the service against unauthorized access and abuse.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will address it.

Third-party links

We may link to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own; review their policies when you visit them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here with an updated Effective date.
